Below are names of candidates running for the Minnesota State Legislature. The filing period has not ended yet so names can change (i.e., an incumbent may decide not to run again or a new candidate might file). Check back for updates.

ACTION: Please get involved in the upcoming elections. Call the candidates or attend town forums and ask their position on animal protection measures. The following legislators voted for or against S.F. 7/H.F. 253 (the Dog and Cat Breeder Bill) in the Senate or House committees during the 2009-2010 Minnesota legislative session. These votes are public so can be posted. Some legislators below were authors or co-authors of the bill, so their opinion is also public.

NOTE: The majority of legislators listed below voted yes in support. This is due to the fact that the H.F. 253 passed through two House committees (see Follow The Vote). However, the bill was not granted a hearing in the House Agriculture Committee in 2010 and did not pass in the Senate Agriculture Committee; therefore, it failed.
